District Supervisor

Dr. Timothy Dowd joined Lacey Township School District during the 2016-2017 school year and has always been excited to be working in such a pride-filled community that showcases its students, teachers, and staff.  For his career, Dr. Dowd has fulfilled many roles in education and community building.  Starting with experiences in both international conflict resolution and community mediation, he has served as a classroom English instructor, an assistant athletic director, an English department supervisor, and a high school assistant principal, before becoming the 6-12 District Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction. 

Dr. Dowd earned his Master of Arts in Educational Leadership along with a certificate as an Educational Specialist from Seton Hall University. He continued at Seton Hall to earn a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership, Management, and Policy.  He also has a Master of Arts in Teaching from The College of New Jersey, a baccalaureate degree in Conflict Analysis and Dispute Resolution from Salisbury University, as well as a certificate in International Conflict Resolution from the University of Rotterdam in The Netherlands. 

As all of these experiences have infused a passion for education in his daily life, Dr. Dowd seeks to add to the educational foundation already established at Lacey Township School District.  Through hard work and strong collaboration, he believes this school community can continue to foster a supportive and rigorous educational environment where teachers and their students gain lifelong success.
