Welcome to the Lacey Township High School/Middle School Guidance Department,
servicing students in grades 7-12.
The mission of the Guidance Department is to provide an integrated proactive, and comprehensive counseling program which focuses on the academic, career, and personal/social development of our students. The guidance program is founded on the New Jersey Student Learning Standards and the National Standards of The American School Counselors Association. It is our goal to work in partnership with other educators, parents, and the community to ensure all students have access to and are prepared with the knowledge and skills to become productive members of society.All guidance and counseling services are designed to meet the academic, personal/social, and career/vocational needs of Lacey Township Middle and High School students and are delivered by the following means:
- Individual Student Planning Sessions including academic program planning and coordination of activities that support long and short-term goals
- Responsive Services, such as counseling, consultation with school staff and/or families, referral services, mediation, or information
- A guidance curriculum that meets age-appropriate developmental goals through individual, large group, small group, and classroom presentations
