Lieutenant Alexandra Hansen attended Catholic University of America, in Washington DC, on a Navy ROTC scholarship where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Upon graduation, she was commissioned as an RN in the US Navy Nursing Corps. She has been assigned to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, U.S. Naval Hospital Guam, and was selected to serve on Fleet Surgical Team TWO.

She has been deployed to Afghanistan, 5th Fleet embarking the USS Kearsarge, the USS Wasp and the USS New York along with completing COVID-19 humanitarian missions. Currently, she is pursuing her Doctorate Nurse Practitioner, Anesthesiologist degree at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences.
