• Welcome to the 2023-24 Ukulele Club Page! The ukulele Club will now be grades 4 and 5 only. Grade three will be learning recorders in class, and Grade 1 and 2 will be playing classroom instruments during class time. I look forward to an amazing year! If anyone one is looking for a Ukulele to purchase, I really like the Kala Waterman for beginners. They can be purchased from Waterview Music in Barnegat, NJ. They usually have a fair amount of them on display too!

  • Many students want to purchase ukuleles to be able to practice at both home and at lessons. When the time comes be prepared to spend between $50 to $100 dollars for a decent to good Soprano Ukulele. You may also find concert ukuleles in that price range as well. Tenor ukuleles will usually start around $150 and just go up in price from there. For beginners at Cedar Creek School, I recommend soprono or concert ukuleles due to the size. Below I have listed some models and aproximate prices.

    Beginner Ukuleles

    Kala KA-15S  $55

    Aklot AKS21 (Soprano) $55

    Aklot AKC23 (Concert) $60

    Donner DUS-1 Soprano $55

    Hricane UKS-1  $60

    Hricane UKS-1 Concert $70

    Cordoba 15CM (Concert) $100

    Luna Tattoo (Concert)  $100

I do recommend getting a travel/gig bag. These range in price from $ 15 to $ 40. Well worth the investment to protect the instrument.
