Ms. Hughes' Class
Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Jodi Hughes
Welcome to the Hughes Crew! My name is Jodi Hughes and this is my 12 year as an educator in Lacey Township School District. This is my 9th year as the Multiple Handicapped Kindergarten-2nd grade instructor. In addition to teaching in a school district, I have worked as a Developmental Interventionist direct care provider since 1998 and as a state evaluator for services for Early Intervention since 2015. I attended William Paterson College to study Speech Correction. I received my teaching certifications in Elementary and Special Education in 1995.
I have had ther great opportunity to bring Special Olympics to Lanoka. For the past 3 years, my class has participated at the state level in the Young Athletes game. We host games for the preschool and K-2 self contained classes twice a year. We received a grant again this year for Unified Partners at Lanoka Harbor. The program gave opportunities for our 3rd adn 4th grade special needs students to participate in club and sports with like age peers.
Family and school connection is a vital piece of students in the Hughes Crew success. Looking foward to working as a team to be part of your student's educational history.
