Medical Excuse Criteria
➢Parents may send in a written note excusing their child from physical education for up to 3 days per marking period.
➢ A physician’s note is required if a student’s absence from physical education will exceed 3 days.
➢ Short-term medicals will attend, but not participate in physical education classes.
➢ Medicals issued by a primary care provider will be effective for 30 calendar days if the note states “until further notice”. After that time, the medical note must be renewed every 30 days or the student returns to physical education class.
➢ Any student that needs to use the elevator must submit a written note from their primary medical provider.
➢ If a student has a medical excuse for PE class, they are not permitted to participate in any school-sponsored sports after school.
